THE JOYFUL GAME
(made for the Manifesto Jam 2018)
What is a joyful game? What can be a joyful game? What can joyful games do?
As I play more and more games, as I make more and more games, as I learn more and more about games, I ask myself these questions. Are joyful games good or are they a puerile obstacle for the media? Are they needed in our world? Is joy a thing to look for in this vast, ever-changing thing we refer to as "games"?
This is my take on what could joyful games bring to the table. What they could achieve, and what we could acheive with them. Because games are just a thing humans make and humans play with to be with each other.

Amazing booklet! Just wanted to suggest a certain game. A game I grew up with... Little Big Planet! I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Heheh, I definitely thought about this one! But I didn't include it because I've never been able to play it, so I prefered to focus on games I know better. Thanks for your comment and your suggestion though :D
